Call to Action: NIHB Hosts Tribal Caucus Monday July 14

Communications Specialist

On Monday, July 14, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. ET the National Indian Health Board (NIHB) will host a virtual Tribal caucus in preparation for two virtual listening sessions on July 16 and 17.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is holding Tribal listening sessions and taking comments to gather input on a proposed departmental reorganization initiated under a federal executive order. The sessions are intended to help HHS better understand the potential implications of restructuring on Tribal communities and health systems, serving as an opportunity for Tribes to share priorities, concerns, and recommendations for future planning.

The purpose of the caucus is to provide an overview of ongoing the IHS realignment proposal and have a space for Tribal leaders, health professionals and advisors to discuss and prepare for the in-personal consultations. Be advised that this caucus is closed to Federal partners.
