Fall 2009 - New Course in American Indian Studies
This class is designed to introduce American Indian students to the fundamentals of sustainability and innovation. The course will be conducted in a workshop format, consisting of brief class lectures, student discussion, group teamwork and group presentations. Participants will form into teams to develop an innovative product or service idea and a business plan. Throughout the class students will meet and learn from American Indian entrepreneurs, business people and other tribal leaders.

Summer Youth Academy
The American Indian Policy Institute and ASU Technopolis will sponsor a 3 1/2 day summer workshop for Junior and Senior High School Students from the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community. The workshop will provide training and mentoring to students who would like to start a sustainable business or venture. The workshop will begin on Wednesday, June 3 through Saturday, June 6, 2009.
