The American Indian Policy Institute
- Examines current conditions and dynamics in tribal governance
- Helps to resolve structural impediments affecting provision of services
- Focuses on relationships between tribal, federal, state and local governments
- Provides detailed, accurate and timely information to policy makers
The American Indian Policy Institute Services
Technical Assistance for:
- Tribal governments in the development of policies, law and structure
- State, local and federal policy makers concerning Indian law and policy
- ASU administration to develop appropriate policy concerning tribal governments
Education, Training and Certification:
- Prepare American Indian undergraduate and graduate students for leadership positions
- Provide training and certification programs for tribal, state and federal officials for effective provision of services in American Indian communities
Analysis:
- Produce analysis of current developments in Indian policy and law
Tribal Access to ASU Resources:
- Create access and opportunities for Indian tribes and communities to make use of ASU resources in their own research
- Enable full consideration of American Indian priorities and concerns in ASU research
